I wish I had a better pic where the flash didn't burn the 'A'. The greens are my favorite part..

An easy way to explain it is comparing my lungs to a pond and how it collects more bacteria than a river. So to keep my lungs healthy, they need a lot of movement. When I'm in bed I need to turn every couple of hours to move my lungs and to prevent pressure sores. It is much better for me to get up in my chair to really get movement, and when I get up, I like to go outside on the bumpy street and ride around for a while. Also off topic but I received a package from RIME aka Jersey Joe the other week. He hooked up this bad ass shirt along with a couple other items. Thank you for that! The housing company where I live had a raffle, which I won for a free day in a handicapped van, being driven around with my friends all day. Since I'm so tall, I made sure they brought the proper van for me. This is the size I need. So I decided to have a regular day out. A couple of friends and I did some shopping at Wal-Mart and Famous Footwear. We then went to Red Lobster for endless shrimp and some beers. We then went to a near by bar for a couple drinks before heading home. It was my first day out, just doing regular stuff and it felt good.

Up until a couple weeks ago, I couldn't move my fingers at all. Close to a year ago, my therapist would spend a lot of time on my hands and fingers, getting no results. She wouldn't tell me that, not wanting to discourage me. I could tell because she didn't concentrate on them as much. With her on going therapy and my continual exercises (trying to squeeze my hands into fists, hundreds of times a day), a couple weeks ago she started rubbing a point on the edge of my chest, next to my arm and told me to try moving my fingers. I did and they started moving. We were both very happy and she talked about how my fingers have improved a lot and weren't responding months back. I still have a long ways to go but I'm pumped that they have started.

Painting #17 by mouth. Im able to paint on my own now, so I can take my time and really pay attention to detail. Not having to worry about getting as much done as possible, not knowing when I'll have someone to help me again. I can also be tedious, changing colors every others. I'll put a video showing my set up and how I do it soon.

Although it doesn't seem like I need a lot of special equipment to eat on my own, it's not covered by the minimal state health insurance. Thanks to Tammy, a close friend of mine and the support and donations from all of you, I have been able to get some of the therapy and things that I need. As always, thank you all very much.
