CLOUT EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH EGOWAR MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!!

Ego War magazine is one of the newest graffiti magazines to hit the shelves but already it has become a classic. One of the only magazines ever to feature nothing but subways and have nearly all good pieces throughout the entire magazine. Issue 1 and 2 are available online already and you should be able to purchase them soon through www.cloutonline.com under the magazines section. I had the pleasure of eating tons of pizza and painting with these guys in southern Italy so I figured it was my duty to show the rest of the US who these guys are and what they're up to. The english is bad but if I change it it won't give you the whole feel so take the time to read it and check out the mag when you get time.

Philthy Rich- Ego War is new on the scene. What sets it aside from other graffiti magazines?

EgoWar- _Yes, EGOWAR is not only a new fresh subwaymagazine but is a real mentality common at all best trainwriterz of this fuckin world.....is the reason we are aside from other magazines.

PR- A lot of Americans see most European magazines as being very similar. What can the typical American graffiti writer be excited about in the mag?

EW- IT' s true a lot of european magazines looks similiar because is similiar the concept....our concept is different, for sure americans can be exiteted about egowar because we speack about mind war..........

PR- You're on the third issue now. Who can we expect to see in this issue? More, more, more subways?

EW- We got the summer second number ready right now.....(FULL OF SUBWAYS ACTION NICE SHOTS all about subways scene and atmosphere) the third go out in autmn for sure we want document not a singolar writer but the war in evry city of the world that got a subway sistem.

PR- You're based out of southern Italy but feature graffiti from all over Europe and even the US, what made you want to do a magazine showcasing graffiti from all over the world?

EW- It' s really strange..... we born in a city without subway sistem but we travel and move ourself evrytime for paint subways its the reason because we can do a magazine with stuff from all over the world because we still in contact with EGOWAR writerz from all over the world

PR- I love the large format photos. Not many people make a magazine and print photos as large as you guys. What is the upside of printing photos half a page or an entire page or even 2 full pages?

EW- THE concept of magazine is like this....the value of a war against subways in really high for us is the reason because if we got best shots dont esitate to put at doublepage....find a lot of best shots is hard but in the first number we have find it....The second number still have big photos but less at double pages only 3 because we didnt find a lot of them...but ever in EGOWAR big photos are more then small photos...is the soul of the mag.

PR- Has making the mag been what you expected?

EW- WE want grow up, we sold allover europe and a in america our magazine but we want become bigger... olso not now or really soon...but i hope before we die.

PR- What are your goals as far as the publication goes?

EW- Sure we look longer.....

PE- Do you do most of your business in Italy or all over?

EW- Some in Italy but we look at all over the world..graffiti world is one not have a single nation....

PR- You also run NiceCrime, the distribution website. You sell everything from magazines to books to markers to paint. Is it hard running an online store along with the mag?

EW- NICECRIME is like a EGOWAR is not only a online store is a mentalty...is not hard go in the same way of your mantality.....

PR- What is NiceCrime.com all about?

EW- Is a graffiti supply online store. We want help the graffiti people and sell best stuff to evryone want it and not find in cities graffiti shop and on other shit online stores.

PR- Do you think you will stay in Italy forever or will you move to a bigger market like New York or London or Paris?

EW- WE want move ourself....we think our mentality is too hard for lazy italian mind...but the headquarter will be south italy for life.

PR- Does working out of a city with less writers make it easier or harder to run the business and magazine?

EW- I think contacts with people and other writers is the soul of graffiti and the only way for make a magazine.

PR- What do you think the common view on American magazines is in Italy? Do you think people Italy care about what goes on across the pond?

EW- No i think the italian know only 70's and 80's styles from amerika and they think now is all finish....but i know is not true but americans have an evolution much different from europe... is the way because someone cant understand...

PR- What is your take on Clout?

EW- CLOUT is fuckin cool is the really improve that in american graffiti writerz are still alive.

EW- WE want shots out all people in the world gots a egowar mentalty and when they go sleep dreamin a personal Wholecar runnin on subway.....
