CLOUT X ELM COMPANY FOR BENNY DIAR - "DEATH CHEATER" FITTED PREVIEW

We recently began working with ELMCOMPANY to produce a fitted in honor of a living legend and to help raise some much needed funds for his care.  If you follow this graffiti king  then you know Benny's story and maybe some history behind him. Benny is a beast and has come a long way since the car accident that left him paralyzed almost two years ago. If you are unfamiliar with Benny please take a minute to visit his homepage  HERE. "My name is Benny, known in the graffiti world as Diar. I have been an artist my whole life. I started writing graffiti at the age of 11, and was an active writer until February 2008, when a bad car accident left me paralyzed from the neck down.

Medical problems from the accident almost killed me 10 times in the weeks following my accident. I am very thankful to still be alive and have been working very hard to regain as much of my independence as possible. Throughout my recovery, I have remained dedicated to art, exploring other mediums. I have started to use acrylics and I paint using my mouth to control the brush.

Because I did not have medical insurance at the time of my injury, I qualified and am now on Medi-Cal. I am thankful for the coverage I have but it only covers the basics and not even that sometimes. The therapy and other support I receive now has been made possible because of the donations from others. I would like to thank everyone who has donated or purchased art at a benefit, as well as those who have donated their facilities or time to help make the benefits happen. It is deeply appreciated.
